1. What the Site Collects

1.1 The launch waiting list

If you ask to be told when the app launches, we store the email address you type in. That is the whole record — no name, no marketing profile.

1.2 The support form

If you send us a message, we store the name, email address, category and message you provide, so that we can reply.

1.3 Page views

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other websites, and does not build a profile of you. What we see is how many people visited a page, not who they were.

1.4 What the Site does not collect

No cookies for tracking. No advertising identifiers, and no ads. No location. No accounts, so no passwords. Nothing you submit here is joined up with anything in the app.

2. Why, and What Allows Us To

• The waiting list rests on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You gave us an address for one purpose: to be told about the launch. You can withdraw that at any time by asking us to delete it, and we will.
• Answering your support message rests on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — you wrote to us and would like a reply.
• Counting page views rests on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in knowing which pages are read. Because the measurement is cookieless and aggregate, it does not identify you.

We do not sell anything you give us, share it for anyone else's marketing, or use it for advertising.

3. Who Processes It

• Vercel hosts the Site and provides the page-view counting.
• Supabase stores the waiting list and the support messages. This is a separate Supabase project from the one behind the app — the Site cannot read or write app data, and nothing here is joined to a member's account.

Both act on our instructions and are contractually restricted from using the data for their own purposes. Where either processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, which form part of our agreement with them.

4. How Long We Keep It

Nothing you submit here is attached to an account, so nothing expires it automatically. We keep it until you ask us to remove it.

Write to contact@villagelink.social and we will delete your waiting-list address, or a support message, or both. You do not need an account, and you do not need to explain why.

Page-view counts are aggregate from the moment they are recorded and are not tied to you, so there is nothing in them to delete.

5. Your Rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Where we rely on your consent — the waiting list — you can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as simple as saying so.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Romania that is the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

6. Children

The Site is aimed at adults deciding whether to use VillageLink. We do not knowingly collect anything from children through it. The app has its own, stricter rules on age, set out in its Terms of Service.

7. Changes

If we change this notice we will update the “Last updated” date above. If a change matters to someone already on the waiting list, we will say so in the email we send them.
